At first I was really upset, because I had gotten a callback for Violet and I really thought I was going to get it. They gave it to a 6th grader. Once it set in and I calmed down, I got excited. An oopma loompa! That's awesome! All the songs and dance numbers and think about all the kids who didn't get a role. Thank you for being so kind.
I’m so happy for you! Don’t be bummed at all about getting an oompa loompa! I’m sure you had a great audition, since you got such a sweet role. Perhaps you weren’t right for Violet, but that doesn’t make you inferior in any way to the girl who got it. Different roles work better for different people, that’s all!
Honestly, the smaller roles are what really do it for me. You get the opportunity and freedom to add fun little elements to your character. Target your audience and be someone’s favorite oompa loompa :) You’re going to have a blast and make memories to last a lifetime. You will find much to learn from any type of role you receive. Cherish every experience!
